Good time to use some $

There's a good use for some of the inauguration money. President-elect Trump has sparked a political battle over the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles even as those fires are still far from contained. #calfire #trump #california #politics #malibustrong #pasadenastrong

I made my own California palette - using #caseformakingwatercolors . They are handmade watercolors made in NorCal and they have been working with @mercimilo ( the best toy store ) to get art supplies and toys to kids in the Southern California fire areas !

Where's the Fire?
Nov. 1, 2024
The word on the street this afternoon at about 2:30pm was there was a fire in Gorman burning near the high school which is near I-5. How come a Google news search yields nothing, Cal Fire's website yields nothing, and now their map is not even coming up? There is no information about a wildfire anywhere on this date and location in California!
Something is very weird about this fire because Gorman is east of us and yet the smoke is coming our way despite the wind blowing it away from us. The jet stream is steady and normal, moving from west to east.
To both the east and west the sky looks smoky at the horizon. The air smells like smoke but at the same time, we're having a major OR shift, which makes DOR look like "smog" in the atmosphere. We can see OR clouds coming out of the haze as the energetic shift before the incoming storm takes place.
Perhaps the government entities responsible for setting fires are working between rain storms and before a very big storm is about to roll in. Soon there will not be many more opportunities to set wildfires as the rainy season sets in. At the same time, the strange appearance of the sky may very well be the energy shift as DOR transmutes to allow for this storm to develop. They may be using smoke as a cover for the new types of skies people are seeing and learning about on this blog.

Bode/Freddy: yay, we are getting out.
Writer 1: fuck. We can't let them out. What can we do?
Writer 2: we can get Bode to test positive for drugs even though he is the one who asked for the drug test and turned in the guy selling the drugs. It totally makes perfect sense that Bode would ask for a drug test even though he would fail. It would go over the Cap's head and it is totally true that Bode would do any of this crap days before his parole hearing. Totally.
Writer 3: we can keep Freddy in the camp by making it take forever to get an innocent man out of jail. We can say that the paper work will take the exact length as his prison sentence. We totally make sure Eve, the fire cracker that she is, doesn't go to the media over this. because surely, the headline: "Black man falsely imprisoned for a crime he did not commit and due to backlog, he won't get released until the end of his sentence" won't cause an uproar. But ssshhhh
Writer 1: perfect. Barely an inconvenience.

THEY'RE ARE FREE SITES! I live in Los Angeles and have been watching the fires the whole time since I almost got boxed in, It was really scary, watched the whole thing here
The site is run by CalFire. THEY are the ones fighting these fires. They are our boots on the ground and wings in the air. They are the ones who update the reports for this site. It's completely free and has a TON of information and resources. I'll even list it.
First up, they list what they cover in the drop-down menu. However, the first thing you see is a full list of the years incident report.
Tumblr media
Then comes the whole map of California. It's interactive. You can zoom in and out as you need, add or remove layers/ filters, and search by name. What's even better here, though, is the listed active fires. That's anything that's currently burning. Containment is the outside perimeter of the fire, the line ensuring it won't spread, not how much the fire is out.
Tumblr media
From here, you can select the fire you want to know more about by clicking on the name of the fire. This is the only one still listed, so here we go. Again, the map is interactive, and you can zoom in. You can see EXACTLY where the evacuation orders and warnings are. They are not only color coded but further down are listed down to the streets. YOU WILL KNOW.
Tumblr media
Overview
Tumblr media
Below the overview is the full Assessment Report that will be updated daily and the evacuation orders written out with links, even ones to get updates on your evacuation zone. USE IT!
Tumblr media
Next, it tells you WHERE TO EVACUATE TO, and the animals are included in listed shelters!!! Found a dog wondering in the fire on your way out? Grab it and take it to one of these places. They are set up for exactly this purpose. Wild rabbit that's injured? There's a place for that, too. They got you!
Tumblr media
Need family and federal assistance? Links. News? Links. Closure Reports? Links.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Want to know how many people are on this and what resources we are using? Got it. How much is the damage? We can tell you that too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Want to follow their socials to get updates that way? It's listed at the bottom of each page. It's free. It's safe. It's maintained by first responders and disaster relief responders who actually care to get you help.
PLEASE SHARE THIS!

Fire Plane to and from Post Fire, Gorman, CA
June 16, 2024
I really thought this plane that flew overhead yesterday was a hologram, as a plane flying this low over the house from due east to west is something I've not seen before, other than Air Force planes. It made an engine sound, but it seemed too quiet for how low it was.
It seems it's a fire plane sent to work on the Post Fire in Gorman, which started yesterday afternoon along I-5 and is only two percent contained as of today. But don't be alarmed at the low containment, because we are just east of this area, within a 10 minute drive, and the air is clean today and there is no wind or smoke.
Even yesterday, we could not see smoke from this fire, which is why the extremely low-flying plane puzzled us. Containment has nothing to do with whether the fire is still active or not, just how much ditch was dug around it. Many fires are never 100% contained.
I still think the plane was weird due to the glowing stuff around the tail, which I'm sure could just be explained as sun lighting it up (I maintain a skepticism about all flying objects now). During the almost completely unreported Tecuya Fire last year, we saw fire fighting aircraft up close and they also made little noise.
The plane flew from east to west, back again, and then from east to west again in the early evening. Another plane like it flew overhead this morning, much higher but not at the altitude of "commercial planes," but at the same volume. It was also an odd plane with similar details.
I am doubtful that this fire is still burning today. The news always reports fires as active as long as the containment ditch is unfinished. The reports of wind are highly exaggerated. The air is still and clear today, even in the direction of Gorman, which we can see from here. The atmosphere is high in OR and there are no "flights" today, and there were few yesterday.

Trial by Fire: Fire Country and the Prison Industrial Complex
New Post!! Fire Country is a TV show and it wants to be the most relevant thing on network television. The show is about Bode and his life traversing the criminal justice system in California as an inmate firefighter. What's the deal with this show and what does it have to say?

:read more:Fuuu**k you are so right it’s ridiculous, because I live in CA , and in my family it’s always been called fire season (not Summer). Last year, one of the largest wildfires in history occurred, The Park Fire More than 400,000 acres burned. In 2018, the CAMPIRE Fire caused the largest (in recorded history), loss of lives at least 80) and cost in structural/ whatever damage)(it’s the CAMPFIRE Fire, and yes I don’t know how they’re named, 🤷‍♀️ but it’s easier to to keep track this way so…) Last year the Park fire grew to more then 400,000 acres. The entire state is burning down. And as I understand it the inmates who fight fires are in minimal danger, they stay on the edges of a fire to hopefully create a useful Firebreak (digging ditches and such, maybe clearing debris, helping to fight, but in hopefully minimal danger (my mom told me me this (nurse in the system), and it it is completely , maybe true, but hey, it could have been true, or maybe sugarcoated for a child so, 🤷‍♀️.) So tl:dr I guess is it’s already difficult enough to fight fires in this state, so if funding has been taken away, or will be taken away, then whoever does that must really want this entire state to burn. Look at a map of incidents, I suggest fire.ca.gov, and last year almost the entire state (before you zoom in) is covered in flame. This state in already in trouble, taking MORE money from CalFire, is completely fu*king insane. Also if you have questions about the water situation, I can try my dad about it and try to figure it how it all works, because he works for the state/county (something about water department) and he just started talking water psi and what it means because I was asking about how water gets from N CA to S CA, and I despise physics, and I zoned out) so 🤷‍♀️. Sorry Dad. Sorry for the length, but I’ve always just rambled on and on so… (And if you different opinions or facts about the situation, fine don’t just be a troll about it, tell me so everyone who reads can learn)

Historic wildfires blaze through LA months after the Democratically-run city cut fire service funds.
News headlines rhetorically ask us to consider what happens when CA inmates - working as firefighters for roughly $6 per day - cannot contain unprecedented fires.
Billionaires drain the already water-starved state of its supply as hydrants dry up when needed most.
This system has to go.
